Inflatable Penguin Released!

After far too long, the only official album from Falling Under Static, Inflatable Penguin, has been released today. It’s been in a state of completion apparently for a few years, but it just took some modicum of effort to put it together and finally release it. Go to the FUS website (www.fallingunderstatic.com) for the free download and enjoy.

Evermore album re-issues

I’ve been working on the fallingunderstatic.com site, and uploading the back catalog of Evermore albums. Absinthe and Research Among the Ruins are up and available for download. Free! The downloads are zips of high quality mp3’s, and include a pdf of album artwork. Next up is the Falling Under Static album – Inflatable Penguin. Enjoy and share.

Vacation and Music City Brew Off

Since my first post, Kim and I went on vacation to coastal South Carolina, and we attended the Music City Brew Off in Nashville, TN. Vacation was great, falling asleep to the sound of the ocean, long walks on the beach and great food. I even discovered a couple new good breweries. I’ll try to cover those in another post. This last weekend was the Brew Off. Sadly, I did not place with any of my beers, but I think the best part was judging for the first time. It was great to sit down with a particular style and really get into the nuances of it – from aroma, appearance, flavor, mouthfeel, etc. I judged Bocks in the morning and Barleywines in the afternoon. There were some exceptional beers in those flights. Its been a very busy past few weeks, but now its time to get back to some house things, and making music. I spent last night working on mixing drum and bass parts for a tune called Shallow. I need to redo the vocals on it, but its progress.
